Hello my name is Ryan Cumbow guide for Rock Creek Waterfowl and Rock Creek Hunting. I have been guiding for 11 years and I have been a lifetime hunter. Born on the family ranch, we had wonderful opportunities to hunt as we wished, whether it was for turkey’s in the spring, dove early in the fall, sharp-tailed grouse and prairie chickens in the early fall, pheasants in October, ducks and geese and deer later in the season. The idea of guiding was never thought of as reality, but looking back most of my greatest hunting experiences were taking friends or family members.


During my college days I based my schedule around duck and goose hunting in the fall. Hunting and fishing and dragging my friends with me was time to relax and not worry about school and athletics. After graduating I returned home to pursue my career.  One day I received a phone call from a person this is what the first thing that was said, "I can either hire you or shoot you! Your mother would probably rather have me hire you!" For many years following that conversation I was guiding for various outfitters and primarily my dad at Rock Creek Hunting.

Renner-Hunting Partner

You won’t forget Renner, my faithful hunting companion who makes my job easy as the guide. Renner is my black lab and he does most of the work! The reason you won’t forget him is because of his size for one and the other is his experience hunting ducks and geese, you'll definitely appreciate his demeanor and patients during breakfast.  He is getting older now but he'll be there.

 

 

 

 

Jett- Hunting Parter

Jett is the newest member of our hunting team.  He is full of energy and extremely motivated to go hunting.  This past year he has proven to be very good in the water as well as the field.  But for only being 18 months old he has some work to do to become top dog!
